I adore the way he just keeps saying I love you, Jo while she's talking. This is really the best proposal scene out of all the Little Women adaptations in my opinion. “Your son got on jeans and some vans.” This is why I love Brichelle 😂😂😂😂. Is it just me who felt like timothee's performance was the least captivating in the film? Saoirse and florence easily outshine him. If hes the greatest “thing” in her life why does she not listen to what he has to say and when she wants to be listened to he doesnt he just gives up cause shes controlling. Tiffany was raised like a little princess you can just tell and so was Emily. For God's Sake ungrateful and selfish can you be. Your loving and caring husband tried to do something wonderful for you and you repay him by pouting and crying because you wanted something else even tbough you didn't have the sense to tell him. The whole crying and trying to bring everyone else down with you just brings to everyone's attention what a selfish spoiled brat you are! Weirdly enough, this is probably my favorite proposal scene because even though they walk away hurt, a hurtful word is never spoken between them about the other. Timothee & Saoirse Ronan are wonderful together, however Florence Pugh steals the film; even in scenes with Meryl Streep. 1:40 when you haven't realized he was about to kiss her. He's blown away the moment she enters the room, love at first sight immediately. It's so wonderful and bittersweet at the same time. I love it. Lmao Dquan mom, she makes me wanna get on my knees & whoop the f outta her 😂😂😂 She is so beautiful! Caylea was disrespectful too, I can see as a mother, if my 21yr old son was rushing into marriage w/ someone who he breaks up & makes up & has only been with a short amount of time I'd be concerned too! But hopefully they get it together! I think it's funny that they all said he was using Caylea when they're the only ones who lasted.

Loosing a child and pregnancy is different but grieving is the same. I was scared lifetime wasnt gonna post little women la anymore. Saoirse Ronans best performance ever. As much as I liked the 1994 movie of LITTLE WOMEN (with Winona Ryder as Jo March) it did not motivate me to read Louisa May Alcott's novel. However, the 2019 adaptation had exactly that effect on me. I just ordered a copy from Amazon.
Though it's maybe ten minutes longer than I thought it needed to be (hence my "9" rating) LITTLE WOMEN is terrific! Yes, Greta Gerwig's script mixes in 21st-century gender politics, but never to the point that the film becomes preachy.
There's not a character in this movie, even a minor one, with whom I wouldn't want to sit down and have a nice, long conversation. I cared very deeply about the Marches, the Laurences, et al, and was anxious to see what became of them. The film did not disappoint.
LITTLE WOMEN is a gentle, life-affirming story that touched my heart in way that IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD simply did not. I would gladly watch it again.
